Corporate actions are compiled by FXGlobe on a best effort basis using information from reliable sources but does not guarantee its accuracy or completeness.
Corporate actions can have a significant impact on the financial instruments involved and are therefore announced on the investor relations page of the public company. If you want to be informed of corporate actions, be sure to take a look at the relevant company page.
Mandatory corporate actions are initiated by the company and are binding on all shareholders. Examples include share consolidations, share splits, mergers, and dividend distributions. FXGlobe automatically processes mandatory corporate actions.
Voluntary corporate actions give shareholders a choice to participate. Examples include tender offers and rights issuances. If you wish to participate in a voluntary corporate action and do not receive a notification from FXGlobe, please contact our customer support for assistance.
When a stock is delisted, trading is temporarily suspended until further information is provided. Once official delisting terms are clarified, appropriate actions are taken on our platform, including potential liquidation at a specific price.
Trading halts are imposed by stock exchanges or regulators. A trading halt for a specific stock or security can happen for various reasons, including waiting for substantial news to be released or during periods of high volatility.
Orders may be interrupted during halts, which typically last up to an hour, with some exceptions. In most cases, trading resumes within an hour. However, certain instruments may experience multiple halts within a single session or extended halts lasting more than one business day.
If a stock is halted, we’ll try to add a notice to your trading account. Additionally, you can refer to the NYSE, Nasdaq, and Euronext websites for information on historic and ongoing trading halts, depending on the exchange where the instrument is listed.
We do not deduct capital gains tax on profits; traders are responsible for calculating and paying applicable taxes according to local regulations. Consult with your tax office or seek independent tax advice for guidance.
While we do not deduct capital gains tax on profits, some dividends may be subject to a withholding tax. The US tax authorities apply this tax, and we are required to withhold the tax before crediting the dividends to your account.
